Affirmative Action: When Some Are More Equal

Like a good tag team member Affirmative Action doesn’t work alone.  Its twin brother is Diversity Training, a mandatory unpleasant interlude for most male government employees.  It is the lubricant that makes the wheels of Affirmative Action turn.  I had to endure several tension-filled sessions over the years that accused white men of enslaving blacks, exterminating Indians, and persecuting women.  The message was clear and always the same; instill guilt, submit or be targeted.  I’m glad I’m retired.

The good news is that the more outrageous Affirmative Action becomes, the closer it is to destruction.  Those who make it a cottage industry have sown the wind.  Let them reap the whirlwind.  Robbing Peter to Pay Paul drains the talents and energies of the most dedicated sophist.  Observing them defending the abuse is like art experts swooning over the chicken scratches and sagging breasts that appear in modern paintings.  It’s all about perpetrating a hoax on the Silent Majority that spreads into the cosmos looking for aggrieved population elements.

If the young people of today momentarily ignore the big screen or latest electronic gadget and observe political events as they developed, their economic lives would be less endangered today.  They don’t need another road block in their emerging working lives, although the political conditions that have preserved the injustice appear to be permanent, but as for me, I’m free at last.
