Zapruder II

Fishermen are braggarts.  Hunters are braggarts.  It’s not too far fetched to speculate that the person who shot John Kennedy was the same.  He was hunting too.  Taxidermy is a big business here in the Ozarks where the biggest bucks are displayed at the local farm supply outfit.  When I checked in to Hq. Co. 24th Marines in Kansas City after boot camp, there, above the colonel’s desk, was a framed VC scalp.  Professional killers collect it all: hair, noses, and ears.  I remember seeing three shrunken heads in the Kansas City museum when I was a kid.  I suggest in the killing of John Kennedy there is something the TV specials and all the experts have overlooked – intentionally or not.  It’s something very basic to the nature of man and I’m surprised of all the silly and far-out JFK conspiracy theories no one has mentioned a logical extension of how killers behave and what their peculiar mindset suggests.

The Abraham Zapruder film proved to me a front shooter was involved and I wrote a piece about the “front sniper’s nest” which became my most popular post on Ray N. Cherry Blog.  Putting aside the influence of the mob, UFOs, Castro, the Russians, (ad infinitum), could there be new evidence consistent with the nature of man?  Is there a second undiscovered “Zapruder” film?  I specifically mean a trophy film of the assassination shot by the assassins.  Why hasn’t even the possibility of one existing ever been considered?  “Gee boss, if we’re going to go to all that trouble, can I at least have a memento of shooting Kennedy?”

I guess the answer lies in convenient operation and the brazenness of the assassination itself.  A barrel mount camera would be a simple procedure.  The Signal Corps used to do that sort of filming all the time during WWII.  Filming the grassy knoll by the book depository could have been easily done from the windows or roof tops of the near-by buildings.  Because there was a conspiracy in the assassination of John Kennedy, the logistics of filming the event aren’t difficult.  A tourist could have filmed it on the ground.  Again, I speculate that the operational philosophy might have been: “You might as well be hung as a ram as a lamb.”  Do it!  Zapruder II, to be shown in the twilight years of the assassins, would give them their life’s trophy mount.  If it was taken out of the hands of the assassins by the Agency we’ll never know except for the primal nature of man which suggests Zapruder II does exist.

Unexpected JFK Magazine Trove

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.  I ran into my treasure the other day as I was rummaging through the library’s surplus book room.  It’s not my first time; I’ve been doing it for decades searching for the good stuff of American history.  It’s like antique hunting – very addicting.  I noticed the library has upped its price on most donated books and magazines to 25 cents and in some cases even to $1.  Apparently the library doesn’t value historical research material.  I believe the JFK assassination warrants mandatory course study in every college.

There was a time when I could research the reference areas of the libraries in Kansas City with no problem.  (Mid-Continent North in Independence, Mo., across from the Truman Presidential Library was my favorite.)  Anyone had free access to comb the bound magazines of their choice. You can’t do that anymore because people started stealing them.  You have to ask the librarian what copies you want to see and he’ll bring them to you – a ridiculous situation.  How do I know which ones if I’ve never seen them?  I miss the joy of accidental discovery in public libraries.

All too often I’ve found stacks of National Geographic Magazines whose only function in their used condition is as ship ballast or waiting room reading material.  (People like the pictures especially if you’re in a dentist’s office.  There, people are too terrified to read.) This find really surprised me because the stack of JFK magazines was for sale, so I bought it for the hefty price of $2.50.  By now you know I’m a Kennedy conspiracy believer:

From time to time I’ll be commenting on these contemporary primary sources.  As I casually glanced at some of the magazines, I noticed pictures I’ve never seen in popular JFK assassination material.  Some clever disinformation techniques were just beginning to be implemented after the Warren Commission Report and I’ll point them out.  I was also surprised how militant the Civil Rights Platform was in 1960 at Democratic National Convention.  (We are led to believe Kennedy’s position was one of conservative reluctance.)  Documents that contain insights about America’s most notorious coup d’état are worthy of preservation and study.  On the other hand, Warren Commission supporters probably would sell them for 25 cents a copy.

JFK: The Front Sniper's Nest

So far in all the 50^th anniversary coverage of the assassination of John Kennedy I’ve found not one reference to the obvious location of the front sniper’s nest where common sense and a few discoveries of my own have convinced me of its existence.  My suspicions along with millions of other Americans had been firmly planted when a political context or motive of the shooting was never discussed by the Media.  Baby Boomers, after all, grew up on TV shows similar to Dragnet.  Even if you didn’t like history, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich was a best seller among us. In other words, Baby Boomers are the most educated generation in history.  The power brokers stood no chance in trying to fool all of the people all of the time.  It was the study of the assassination in minute detail in context over decades colliding with suppressed evidence that spurred conspiracy theorists on, not the convenient explanation of simple minded people concluding that a lone gunman could not have done something so earth shaking.

 

Being from the Ozarks and handling weapons had much to do with my evaluation of the assassination and that’s apart from the political considerations written about in my Journal of the Silent Majority to be published.  The Zapruder footage indicates a front shooter.  The genius of Oliver Stone’s JFK was that it dared to show the film in political context; history does not take place in a vacuum.  My disappointment came when he failed to locate the front gunman’s position, but my concern didn’t last long.  Then came Votescam: The Stealing of America by James and Kenneth Collier, a team of investigating reporters who researched how the Media co-opted America’s vote tabulation process.  With a lead from “assassination buff” Mae Brussell, they agreed that the Media supported the Warren’s Commission findings in return for the tabulation authority.  Indeed, Associated Press published The Warren Report and after many media transformations ended up with the tabulation monopoly.

When the Collier Brother’s investigated the roots of the securing of the national tabulation authority, they stumbled into the CIA-Media conspiracy that sanctioned it.  The least they could do was to locate the front sniper’s nest . . . and they did.  The last 30 minutes of their film sequel, Votescam: The Stealing of America, not only shows the likely spot of the nest based on bullet trajectory and witness accounts, but reveals the hidden drain cavity itself.  My sketch is based on the film.  The film made in 1988, further reinforced my own conclusion of conspiracy.  In all the JFK coverage so far I’ve not seen one mention of the Collier brothers or the storm drain nest.

Wait.  Is not that enough?  In a similar not-ever-mentioned book, That Day in Dallas, by Richard Trask, a photo records witnesses to the smell of gun smoke and of the sound of rifle shots rushing to the exact spot.  (Reporter Robert MacNeil is shown hanging on to the fence.)  My sketch shows the approximate layout of the underground escape passage superimposed on the grassy knoll.  So, for me to believe there was a front shooter, it was the Zapruder film.  For me to locate the JFK sniper’s nest, it involved two more critical pieces of evidence to prove its existence and it took many years to do it.

JFK Assassination Coverage?

In sixty days Americans will commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.  As Claudius would say, it is an opportunity for all the poisons to hatch out – perhaps the last chance where timing and public interest will be focused enough to ring the last bit of truth out of an historic tragedy.  All I see so far is fluff about LBJ, what he was doing 24 hours after the assassination and Thurston Clarke and his new book, JFK’s Last Hundred Days: Kennedy’s space program, Vietnam, and Test Ban Treaty rehashes.  If I see one more piece on Camelot, I think I’ll get sick.  Eighty million Baby Boomers deserve more.  Tell it like it is (was)!

 

Many Americans can’t believe the evil nature of man and his capacity to perpetrate evil on a grand scale.  Many deny the Holocaust and many can’t believe government officials would conspire to kill a president, much less have an institutional mega-complex like the American Media purposely distort, leave out, or manipulate the facts.  Surely authors like David S. Lifton, Best Evidence, and William Manchester will be shown a little respect as well as director Oliver Stone who produced the most critical of all assassination films, JFK.

 

If the Media is serious about covering the facts just one more time, I’d ask them to at least demand that all evidence about the assassination be released and forget national security; that‘s always the cover-up excuse.  I’d ask the Media to discuss the motives of probable conspirators including Lyndon Johnson.  Seven Days in May was not enough.  Television coverage should have Richard Trask’s photo of Robert MacNeil (That Day in Dallas) among a crowd that rush up to the spot where the front shooter took aim.  Show the bullet nick on the curb originating from that spot.  Above all, show the complete Zapruder film head shot without alteration.  Head snap back proves a front shooter.

 

You’d expect the most significant event in living memory, a coup d’état, would warrant at least the same amount of coverage as the March of Washington anniversary.  Perhaps, the Media doesn’t want to be reminded of their checkered past in covering up for the real culprits in exchange for the appropriation of the vote tabulation process.  It’s probable that any objective and critical look at the Kennedy assassination during its 50^th anniversary is doomed like the passing of Voyager out of the solar system; out of sight and out of mind.  Perhaps I’m wrong because it’s not in the Media’s interest to implicate itself with the truth.
